Modified SBR(MSBR) References

The Modified SBR combines the advantages of sequencing batch reactor technology (SBR) with a traditional flow-through activated sludge process (such as A2O). MSBR is an economical and effective treatment process to remove biological nitrogen and phosphorus. No additional equipment or controls are required in order to use the system for nitrification, denitrification or phosphorus removal. MSBR maintains a constant water level in the bioreactor with a continuous inflow of raw water. Depending on the characteristics of the wastewater to be treated MSBR can be designed from a minimum of 3 cells up to 10 cells.
